Accra, Ghana, July 29, 2026 – Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on local and international investors to take advantage of Ghana’s vast opportunities in tourism, hospitality, fashion and the creative industries, assuring that Government is committed to creating a welcoming investment climate and positioning Ghana as West Africa’s preferred destination for tourism and cultural enterprise.
Speaking during an interview with the Regional Director of One World Media USA Today, Clementine Hazeran, the Minister said Ghana offers litigation-free land for investment and pledged to personally champion efforts to ensure investors receive the necessary support to establish and expand their businesses in the country.
Hon. Gomashie identified the development of hotels and the establishment of a world-class tourism and hospitality training institution as priority areas requiring strategic investment to strengthen Ghana’s tourism ecosystem and enhance service delivery.
She also encouraged middle-income Ghanaians to actively participate in the growth of the tourism sector by investing in domestic tourism through organized tours and travel experiences, stressing that Ghanaians themselves must have confidence in the country’s enormous economic potential.
“Well-meaning Ghanaians should invest in Ghana,” the Minister emphasized, while noting that Government is equally seeking international investors to partner in unlocking the country’s tourism and creative economy.
The Minister further observed that Ghana’s hotel market presents enormous growth opportunities and invited both local entrepreneurs and globally renowned hospitality brands to establish a stronger presence in the country.
She extended a similar invitation to leading international and local fashion houses, describing Ghana as an emerging fashion hub with a vibrant market driven by its rich cultural heritage, growing creative talent and expanding consumer base.
Hon. Gomashie also appealed to global streaming platforms, music production companies and recording studios to invest in Ghana’s flourishing creative industry, noting that the country’s music, film and creative talents continue to gain international recognition and offer significant commercial opportunities.
The Minister reiterated that Government remains committed to leveraging tourism, culture and the creative arts as key drivers of economic transformation, employment creation and sustainable national development while positioning Ghana as Africa’s gateway for heritage, culture, business and investment.
