Accra, Ghana \u2013 July 17, 2025 \u2014 The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has declared support for Emmanuel Myam, the 25-year-old Nigerian cyclist and humanitarian known as Emmiwuks, who is on a solo bicycle journey from Nigeria to the United States to raise awareness for orphans and vulnerable children across Africa.<\/p>\n
Emmanuel, who set off on July 1, has already cycled through the Benin Republic, Togo, and Ghana. His mission, driven by personal experience, aims to shine a spotlight on the plight of African orphans and inspire support across the continent.
\nIn Accra, he was warmly welcomed by Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts who praised his efforts as \u201ca noble and selfless act that brings hope where it\u2019s needed most.\u201d The Minister, moved by Emmanuel\u2019s cause, instructed ministry staff to make voluntary contributions from their salaries in support of the initiative.
\n\u201cThis journey is not about me,\u201d Emmanuel said. \u201cIt\u2019s about every child who feels forgotten. I want them to know they matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Accompanying him at the Ministry were prominent digital influencers Wode Maya (Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon) and Goshers (Benjamin Kojo Mensah), both of whom have helped amplify the campaign online.
\nThe show of support from the Ministry, led by Chief Director Mr. Joseph Kwesi Amoah, highlights the growing momentum behind Emmanuel\u2019s mission. Hon. Gomashie also reflected on her late father\u2019s work with orphans, saying Emmanuel\u2019s efforts \u201cwill echo far beyond borders.\u201d
\nThe Ministry urged individuals, institutions, and African leaders to join in championing the cause.
