The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey has opined the need for more collaboration and innovation in our endeavours to preserve and promote Ghana\u2019s heritage<\/p>\n

He made these remarks at the presentation of the 2nd Edition of \u201cA Panorama of Ghana\u2019s Heritage,\u201d at the George Padmore Library in Accra.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At the invitation of the Spanish Ambassador, His Excellency Javier Gutierrez, Hon. Mantey who was representing the sector minister shared, that this book represents the commitment of the publishers to enhancing the documentation of Ghana\u2019s heritage and Its preservation for posterity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He expressed special appreciation to UNESCO and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) for their collaborative involvement in bringing the project to fruition. This he said, is a testament to UNESCO and the Spanish government\u2019s Long-term dedication to Ghana.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have had the privilege of reading the book and I must commend how thorough it is. The first part of the book features images of Ghana\u2019s heritage with historical and cultural annotations according to the various regions. The second part features notes on the images presented in the first part,\u201d he said. \u201cThis piece of literature is undoubtedly a key tourism promotion tool kit, and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture intends to utilise<\/p>\n
This tool to advance the goals of the sector,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
