Accra, Ghana \u2013 June 10, 2025 \u2013 The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has called for greater innovation and dynamism to attract more visitors to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. She emphasized the need to reimagine the legacy of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in ways that resonate with present-day audiences while preserving the core values and virtues that defined his vision.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a proud admirer of Dr. Nkrumah and what he stood for, I believe there are creative ways to revisit and reinterpret his ideals so they remain relevant to current and future generations,\u201d the Minister said. \u201cThe park must be a living, breathing space where the spirit of the Black Star continues to inspire.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Minister made these remarks during a meeting with the Acting Executive Director of the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Dr. Collins Rawlings Nunyoname. The meeting was held to provide a comprehensive update on the state of the park and to outline pressing matters requiring the Ministry\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n
Dr. Nunyoname briefed the Minister on key operational updates, current challenges, and plans to revitalize the park\u2019s offerings. He highlighted efforts to enhance visitor experience while safeguarding the historical integrity of the site. The discussion centred on strategies to improve revenue generation and align the park\u2019s operations with the government\u2019s vision of a 24-hour economy.<\/p>\n
He also outlined proposals for immersive cultural experiences and interactive installations designed to deepen public engagement with Ghana\u2019s heritage and Nkrumah\u2019s legacy. These initiatives, he said, would transform the park into a vibrant cultural hub and a must-visit destination for both local and international tourists.
