Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has encouraged students of the Design and Technology Institute (DTI) to embrace creativity, dream boldly, and use their skills to make meaningful contributions to society.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the National Theatre ahead of the annual staging of Maria\u2019s Love Story, Hon. Gomashie drew from her own journey in the arts to underscore the transformative power of theatre. She emphasized that creativity opens doors to endless possibilities and urged students to take full advantage of DTI\u2019s unique blend of technical and artistic training.<br \/>\n\u201cDon\u2019t limit yourselves,\u201d she advised. \u201cChallenge your imagination and use every opportunity to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Minister praised H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for appointing a professional from the creative industry to lead the tourism, culture and creative arts sector, highlighting the essential role artists play in national development. She also reminded the students of their responsibility as ambassadors of both DTI and the nation, urging them to use their privileged access to quality education to uplift others.<br \/>\n\u201cIf this country is going to do well, it must respect those of us who create. Our culture, which fuels tourism, is shaped by storytellers, painters, poets, and artisans,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Hon. Gomashie stressed that they hold a unique advantage and must use it to make a difference.<br \/>\n\u201cYou have something many children in the country do not have. If you don\u2019t make it count, then you have shortchanged Miss Constance Swaniker and all those investing in your future,\u201d she added, referring to DTI\u2019s Founder.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the Minister at the National Theatre were the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui whk is an architect by profession, making her a creative and a role model for the design students; Mr. Divine Owusu Ansah, Director of Culture and Creative Arts at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and<br \/>\nCreative Arts.<\/p>\n<p>The Design and Technology Institute is a leading technical and vocational education institution in Ghana, specializing in integrating creative expression with technical training to prepare young people for careers in industry and entrepreneurship.
