Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has reiterated the urgent need for mentorship and knowledge-sharing within Ghana\u2019s creative sector, calling on established professionals to actively support and empower young creatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we get the opportunity to receive what others don\u2019t have, it becomes our responsibility to share that,\u201d Hon. Gomashie stated during a meeting with Fynn Exhibits and PCC Group.<br \/>\nThe Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to youth empowerment through creative arts training, mentorship, and community engagement. The discussion highlighted photography, cinematography, and storytelling as powerful tools for transformation.<br \/>\nThe Ministry also cautioned against \u201cgatekeeping\u201d in the industry, urging experienced creatives to keep the doors open for others. \u201cI\u2019m glad you all came back and didn\u2019t block the door . Sometimes, people become gatekeepers, but knowledge is to be shared\u201d, he urged.<\/p>\n<p>As part of concrete steps forward, the Ministry has tasked the Director for Culture and Creative Arts Mr. Divine Kwame Owusu Ansah to coordinate with the Executive Director of the National Film Authority (NFA) to implement training programs and workshops that will strengthen the national cinema ecosystem.<br \/>\nIn partnership with UNESCO, the Ministry has launched a national photography competition that invited young people to document life in their communities. Selected entries will be displayed in the Ministry\u2019s reception area to celebrate and promote emerging talents.<br \/>\nAdding an international dimension, Polish lawyer and philanthropic photographer Mr. Wojciech Zaremba proposed deeper Ghana-Poland cultural collaboration. He announced plans for six solo exhibitions for Ghanaian photographers across Poland and Slovakia, building on previous successful group shows.<br \/>\nMr. Zaremba also confirmed a major exhibition at Ghana\u2019s National Museum next year, featuring the works of one of the world\u2019s most awarded cinematographers.<br \/>\nZaremba shared hopes of expanding the project to include more Ghanaian cinematographers and to foster collaborations with photographers\u2019 associations in the U.S. and France. \u201cThis is about creating synergy between Ghana and the global creative industry,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nMr. Joseph Kwasi Amoah, the Chief Director of the Ministry was part of this meeting alongside directors of the Ministry.<br \/>\nSource: Mabel Delassie Awuku- Public Relations- MoTCCA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accra, Ghana \u2013 July 16, 2025 Hon.
