The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa\u202fGomashie, together with her Deputy, Hon. Yussif\u202fIssaka\u202fJajah, today visited the newly reassigned office space of the National Film Authority (NFA), located within the Bureau of Languages compound. The visit forms part of efforts to ensure the continued smooth operation of the agency following a recent fire that affected its former offices at the Accra Tourist Information Centre (ATIC).<\/p>\n
The Ministers were taken round the new premises by Mr Gideon Aryeequaye, Ag. Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency and Mrs. Kafui Danku-Fitcher Ag. Executive Secretary of National Film Authority<\/p>\n
Addressing management during the tour, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie encouraged them to stay optimistic despite the setback.
\n\u201cIt was devastating to lose the space, but thankfully there were no casualties,\u201d she said. \u201cThis relocation will ensure that the important work of the NFA continues without disruption.\u201d
\nIn the early hours of August 4, 2025, a fire broke out at ATIC, causing extensive damage to several offices, including those of the NFA, the Ghana Tourism Authority’s Call Centre, and the International Affairs Department. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.<\/p>\n
The Sector Ministers reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to restoring the ATIC facility and also emphasized the critical need for all agencies to prioritize fire safety measures and property insurance to protect public assets.
\nThe Sector Ministers were accompanied by Key management staff of the Ministry including Mr. Joseph\u202fKwasi\u202fAmoah, Chief Director, Mr. Vitus O. Langmagne, Director of Human Resources, and Mr. Kofi Ohene Benning Director of Finance and Administration.
