The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, today received a high-level delegation from Nandom, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the area’s upcoming cultural festival scheduled for 29–30 November 2025.
The group, led by Naa Kpiere-Nikpe I, Vapuo Naa of Nandom, delivered a message from Naa Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII, Nandom Naa, formally inviting the Minister to participate in the celebration, which aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Nandom Traditional Area.
Hon. Gomashie expressed her appreciation for the visit and assured the delegation that the Ministry would make every effort to be represented at the festival. She applauded their dedication to cultural preservation and urged them to continue promoting the use of their local language, emphasizing that “all stages of life are carried in language.”
The Minister also encouraged the delegation to challenge the misconception that proficiency in English is a measure of education, underscoring the importance of valuing indigenous languages and fostering the learning of diverse cultures.
Following their presentation of the festival details, the delegation thanked the Minister for granting them an audience. The Ministry’s Director of Human Resources, Mr. Vitus Otto Langmagne, also expressed gratitude to both parties and reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for the forthcoming celebration
