On Friday, February 13, 2026, the Ghana Dance Ensemble, the resident company of the National Theatre of Ghana, completed its fifth and final performance at the Surajkund International Crafts Fair in Faridabad, India.
The Ensemble once again captivated audiences with their distinguished presentations of Kete and Borborbor, two of Ghanas most celebrated traditional dances. Their artistry and discipline reflected the rich cultural heritage of Ghana and contributed meaningfully to the festivals international showcase.
The occasion was graced by Ghanas High Commissioner to India, H.E. Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, who offered words of encouragement and extended his moral support to the team. He was accompanied by the First Secretary, Mr Nana Kojo Asiedu.
As part of Ghanaian hospitality, chocolates were shared with the audience, adding a warm and memorable touch to the ceremony.
In addition, the High Commissioner visited the stand of a Ghanaian business exhibitor, where he interacted with her regarding the interest shown by local visitors and her overall impressions of the fair.
The presence of Ghanas diplomatic representatives underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy and reaffirmed Ghanas commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with India through the promotion of arts, culture, and entrepreneurship.
